Biographical Sketch

Seong-O Choi received the B.S. degree in physics in 1998 from Yonsei University, Korea. After graduation, He worked at biomechanics lab in Yonsei University Medical Center as a research student until 1999. He also received his M.S. degree in Biomedical engineering in 2001 from University of Southern California, Los Angeles, California. He has been pursuing his Ph.D. degree in electrical and computer engineering at the Georgia Institute of Technology, Atlanta, Georgia since 2001. His research interest is developing fabrication technology using polymers and microfluidic devices for biomedical applications. Currently his research area focuses on developing microfluidic components, such as micropump and micromixer.

                      1.  Bidirectional microfluidic rotary pump with externally-driven thick permeable rotor  (Jan. 2002 ~ current)

                              2.  Tunable capacitor using dielectric fluid (Jan. 2003 ~ March. 2003)
